Random question - does Delta put zed fares/jumpseaters in Delta One on international flights if it's available? Going to Japan with my wife next month, trying to manage our expectations

So how does the PB day calculation work for a 1day GS reporting at 3 am and release at 8am?? CS told me I would only get the 9 hours and that’s it! Can that be right? This month I had 6 GS days in a row and only got 3 PB days and one partial Day in return.

They screw this up almost every time. If you flew the Greenie on an X day Your schedule should show you Pb on the day you flew and PR on the next day ending at 5pm.

I have to call them almost every time to get this corrected...well lately I have used the Crew assist app and asked them to look at it..there is a former schedule supervisor in there that knows the contract back and forth. Ask for Margaret T. She is awesome and can tell you the straight poop.

I'd look at UAL, as a JSer, I've been seated in both FC and their EC. At Delta, I've been put in the center seat and told the S4/buddy pass pax to move out and take the open FC seat. Yes, true. I'm DAL.

Hopefully you told someone about it. I know we have FAs who ask the agent hold an open D1 seat from nonrevs and then after boarding is complete they move their sister in law up there. Then they will also see that you’re a S3 on their Skypro, then go back and say “I’m sorry sir, but we have a revenue passenger that is upgrading. You can go back to 52B.” Then they “upgrade” their friend.

I know this because I just had to endure the cackling between those hens in the van recently telling their stories about this very subject. Totally bogus move.

IF true, follow up and press to test. That cannot be allowed to happen. Ever. I suspect the company would agree 100%. That's extreme and would warrant massive disciplinary action.

That’s why I said if something like that happens to you, it needs to go to the higher courts for review.

My wife got left in our Podunk town so that some gate agent could put her friend on. I actually FCRd with screenshots of the checked in/seats assigned list and the agent got canned. Impressive.

Buried somewhere on Travelnet it says a JSA boards last (meaning the last seats available, meaning probably the worst seats on the aircraft.)

This includes Delta pilots.

That is impressive. Glad the company did something about people not following the rules.

I jumpseated on United from Dublin a couple of years ago. Introduced myself to the Captain and politely asked for a ride, said hi to the flight lead and then walked past 5 rows of empty first class seats to my middle seat in the back. I was happy for the ride as Delta had stranded me but I hope we treat our OAL jumpseaters better than that. I know we did on flights I worked when I was doing international but don’t know if that’s the norm or not.
