Or you could just put in a blanket WS with qualifiers.

That covers some situations. It won’t help you get a great swap or cue you to drop a trip to make headroom for a nice WS. It can be hard to tailor a WS for every situation. You might want the 12th off as a example and a trip starts or ends then but has a perfect DH that makes it work. I once had just finished a trip and jwhen they called me for boarding my Commute flight home a trip popped up for a ATL ferry the next morning and strangely layover before DH back. I knew few pilots would want a 6am report in NYC. Pushed my commute back to a flight 90 minutes later. ARCOS chimed 30 minutes later. 21 hours pay to be home at 11am the next morning vice 7 PM that night. I did have to spend 120 bucks for a hotel plus the 7.95 monthly fee.

Having installed this on a windows machine, does one then get notifications to their phone without being at that machine and without it even being powered on?

You set it up via the widget works app however you want. You can have it text you or email you or both. It works all the time. I think they scan the open time every 10 minutes. I opted for email and a text because the text only gives a rotation number. The email displays the rotation. You can also set the alert for specific trip lengths or credit amounts. Paying the 7.95 also get you access to DBMS almost instantly vice using Icrew if you download easybid. 1 click and your in.

Most people I’ve seen use the ship telex headsets. Everyone uses the intercom. Sometimes in cruise people will go speakers. It’s actually louder than I expected. Not 73 loud but not Airbus quite either.

It does cost 7.95 a month and I found many pilots unwilling to pay that.
I did it just to be safe. I've got 65+ hours and would like to pick up a trip but it's not crucial. Thanks for the heads up about the trip alerts from WidgetWorks. If I was going to be here longer I'd do it. I will probably be bidding mostly reserve for the remainder of my active career....

Perfect thanks, no need for new headset then.

Just a comment.....

Trying to find qcq via DeltaNet and do it on my personal iPad was impossible. I was finally able to get at it and do it via the SuccessFactors app on my company iPad but it certainly was not intuitive to reach.
