I think we all pay for their costs in the form of increased premiums. It will be interesting to see if companies latch onto this a seek out other "high risk" things that they can pass on to employees as a surcharge for decrease costs.

How about obese adult onset diabetics that drink gallons of sugar to go with their bags of Doritos?

These blanket policies do not work. Avoiding context of details is lazy.

Edit: I see your edit. I was pretty sure we all pay the same premiums and copays with no health screening. Maybe we shouldn’t though.

If you don't see the science by this point, you are being willfully ignorant.

I'll pay the 200$. And I've also pushed my last wheelchair. My JD Power signature smile, gone too. Me thinking about strangers, customers, and Flight attendants over my own needs/desires gone as well. I'll always be fed, take whatever time I desire, and do the contract. I hope Ed enjoys my 200$

Is this really premiums going up, or is it a $200 health rewards if you have the vaccine? Same effect, different semantics. Haven’t read any articles about this yet. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

Exactly. The science is clear that prior infection is proving much more effective against all variants at this point. And lasts much much longer than 90 days.

We’ve always known that vaccinations are the most effective tool to keep our people safe and healthy in the face of this global health crisis. That’s why we’re taking additional, robust actions to increase our vaccination rate:

Effective immediately, unvaccinated employees are required to wear masks in all indoor Delta settings. This requirement will remain in place until community case rates stabilize.

Starting Sept. 12, any U.S. employee who is not fully vaccinated will be required to take a COVID test each week while community case rates are high. Those with a positive result will need to isolate and remain out of the workplace.

Beginning Nov. 1, unvaccinated employees enrolled in Delta’s account-based healthcare plan will be subject to a $200 monthly surcharge. The average hospital stay for COVID-19 has cost Delta $40,000 per person. This surcharge will be necessary to address the financial risk the decision to not vaccinate is creating for our company. In recent weeks since the rise of the B.1.617.2 variant, all Delta employees who have been hospitalized with COVID were not fully vaccinated.

Effective Sept. 30, in compliance with state and local laws, COVID pay protection will only be provided to fully vaccinated individuals who are experiencing a breakthrough infection.

I don't go to work every week. So I'm supposed to test anyway while sitting at home not on a trip?

This reads like it is directed at the non-cons, GO types on VA Ave.

Still, no mandate

Once that jab junk is in your body, it never goes away.

I'll take my home testing kits any day over that.

Also, what case rate are they using, GA? US? What is the trigger case rate to end the sanctions?

I'll wait to see what the union has for clarification.

No credit, its punitive on those not "fully" jabbed.

A sanction is a better term
