Correct Scoop! Just did that not too long ago.

Congrats Denny! Welcome to the club. It's hard going cold turkey from APC. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to scroll by the posts that no longer affect/interest you. I keep coming back for the "Coffee and Pretzels" and the "Latest and Greatest at Delta" threads.

Thanks again everyone.

Fortunately I was born lazy! It is kinda weird though, after so many years, knowing I never have to go to work again.

Congrats and thanks for keeping it classy all these years! I’ve learned a lot from you in my short time at the company.

I’m lazy by nature too. Take a few weeks to do nothing, then find some area your interested in supporting and go volunteer a little. That’s what I’m looking forward to!

Vaya con Dios Denny.

Always the professional.

Sorry couldn't swing your fini flight.

Please don't be a stranger. You have much to teach us about the profession and "how to" from the left seat

Is there a prohibition on the company taking a trip from one base, adding deadheads on both sides and moving it to another base? I know I've seen this before and the trip has a note that says “for reserve only”.

Was hoping to pickup the rare GSWC for 3 trips that were in open time last night. I looked this morning and they had all disappeared. Found them in the ATL trip coverage built with deadheads on front and back end and awarded as green slips to regular pilots.

I couldn’t find anything in the PWA but I’m not sure where to look.

Delta can move a trip to another base however if they do so it must be covered by a reserve pilot. If they can’t cover it with a reserve the trip must be returned to the original base and covered via the trip coverage ladder. This is a clear violation of the contract and probably the one I see happen most often. Whoever should have been awarded the trip in the original base should be paid. Submit it to ALPA. The trip coverage sequence is section 23N.
This happens often because the scheduler must manually rebuild the trip to move it. They then find out the reserves they thought they had are illegal or otherwise unavailable. At this point they are supposed to rebuild the trip again and move it back but it’s much less workload to simply cover it in the base it now resides with a white or greenslip.

Thanks Sailing. What section of the PWA addresses this? I could not find anything in my search.
