You want a really good scare -take a few miutes to peruse the LAX 73N Bid package, you will be really frightened. It is by far the worse selection of trips I have seen in 10 years at DAL. Tons of redeyes (which can be good if you are commuting in to start) but almost evey trip that does not start with a redeye has a zero-dark thirty sign in and a 2200+ sign in.

Who the hell did we in LAX **** off?

To be honest, i've never considered LAX a DL base. We're always a red-headed stepchild base to SLC, shuffling crews to cover SLC, have an perrenial empty CP office. LAX crews are happy because, well, we live nearby! Otherwise, i could see a TON of improvement to make it somewhat pleasant, similar to SLC. I think that's why our northern brothers will not hesitate to bid into SLC/LAX to be close to home. Most of the f-nwa west coaster I know has at least 10+ seniority, so they shouldn't have to worry about reserve too much.

PS: LAX73N is still near the top of my card this time...

The 787 is one good looking bird. (lots of under boob) :) It would be nice if we actually took delivery of them.

Looks like almost any other Boeing twin to me... One thing that might be interesting to watch is what happens to our stock when/if this things actually breaks ground...

And the flight deck is roomy...plenty of space to play a few rounds of cribbage.
