Uh, oh. Just got an email saying that they were pulling down the DTW DC-9, 757, and 330 PBS bids and re-running them. Great (No, not really). :)

At NATCO for a few days this week. Last rumor mill stuff:
1. GUM base is still being considered. Would be staffed with 10 737's 2. No 320's are planned to be delivered. Pretty sure we are not the "mystery" buyer for the Airbus order. 3. Currently no plan to move 320's to NYC or ATL, but that may be reconsidered in the future. 320 carribbean flying is expected to increase, and Latin America has been looked at. 4. North guys will begin transitioning to the South 9 month recurrent cycle (eventually) That's all I remember - nothing earth shattering. They are currently moving the doors trainers/rafts/slides/etc to NATCO, so you won't have to make the trek to building F anymore to throw doors which is very nice. |
ACL I'm hearing rumors of a new out of the box thinking HNL route, have you heard anything

_____________________________________________ Revenue Management achieves inventory cutover milestone December 15, 2009 Revenue Management achieved a significant integration milestone Tuesday with the cutover of all pre-merger Delta and pre-merger Northwest flights onto one inventory management system. Inventory management systems are forecasting and optimization models that use past passenger demand patterns and future booking trends, along with no-show factors and denied boarding levels, to produce seat inventory levels to sell to customers. Late last year after regulatory approval of the merger, the DYMOnD (Dynamic Yield Management by Origin and Destination) system was selected for the combined airline. The process began in phases earlier this month to move all flights from pre-merger Delta’s AirMax inventory management system to the DYMOnD system used by Northwest. As a result, all domestic and international flights will be handled by DYMOnD, starting Jan. 9. Tuesday’s cutover is the result of nearly a year of work by a cross-divisional team from Revenue Management, Information Technology and Operations Research to ensure a smooth transition. “Our overall goal was to keep the DYMOnD cutovers uneventful, and they have been – which is a testament to the extremely hard work done over the last year by the cross-functional team on a very complicated process and equally complex tool,” said Tom Bach, s.v.p.-Revenue Management. “Thanks to all of their efforts, the cutover to DYMOnD has exceeded our expectations and has set the stage for us to capitalize on the merged airline’s revenue opportunities in 2010. We are well on our way to a fully integrated Revenue Management function.” |
