I understand there are a number of qualified candidates in the running.

Heyas,

I will only comment thus:

1) I would have to say it is fairly inappropriate to air laundry in public, especially one with real names in it. But since the new "mods" are all former DAL, I'm sure that one will pass by, since anything published will eventually windup on "teh intrawebz".

2) It's SEA. Understand that, and you understand more than you want to know.

3) On SOME of the topics mentioned, they are within 1 standard deviation from the general fNWA though process. Off to the side, maybe, but definately within 1 SD.

4) LM stepped on his crank with the KW issue. 5,000 NWA guys know it and will remember it.

I agree on SEA, and I disagree on KW.

KW took it to the streets from day 1. He was one of the first guys on there griping about the admin. From asking around, his plate is not clean either. Like it or not most committee members, including him, serve at the pleasure of the MEC chairman. he was the one who picked the wrong venue. How many items are outstanding, 3?

Have you even read Ken Watts letter? How do you answer his statements of things promised by Moak that never happened?

Nu,

I can only hope that DALPA has a guy as good as Ken was. I am one of the 5000 guys, and yes it is etched in my brain. Will not forget it. From the reports I get, our committee guys do not have much cooperation form their DAL counterparts. Not all but some.

Nothing anybody from the south could EVER say will be as divisive as this statement. nothing. It is so far out of line it is in a parallel universe.

I don't know KW but that's really beside the point. What is the point is that we have come together as the largest airline in the world. We are operating as a unified pilot group. We signed up for this, for better or worse. We have a council that is putting out, obviously, some incredibly incendiary communications. I didn't post that, someone else did. But, since I reside here and am part of DAL, I am compelled to respond.

This **** is unbelievable. If you have issues with or against the company, do so without putting it out for consumption. I'm not the happiest camper of the face of the planet either, but if I were that council's leadership, I would be embarrassed and appalled. That is emotion speaking.

Here's a tip. Before you publish something, take a breath and edit it. And then take a breath again. I do and I'm published often. I don't know the SEA guys. Actually, I do know one, and this sounds very familiar. They only come off as being the most self-serving, ignorant morons on the face of the airline planet.

Out.

Then we see this type of ranting from the fNWA reps and it is a little crazy. Are these guys just nuts or do they have some political agenda? It sounds like they only like about 4 people at the combined airline, everyone else is out to get them.

Haven't read the council newsletter, but I've run into some comments/rants (unsolicited) while jumpseating that were an earful.

I predict things are going to get way too interesting once the crews really start integrating.

You know what? I really hope not. I pray that we don't become that. I was sitting on a crew van during my first turn through MSP last month and heard and earful from FNWA FA's. I get it. It sucks. It sucks for us too. Change is hard. Get over it. You have a job. I have a job. Move on.

But where is maturity in all of this? Where is "we're now on the same team so let's make it work" in all of this? I hear and see a lot of selfish "where is mine" these days. On both sides. Christ, this is so silly.
