Everything in the contract, including scope protection, is "merely" a promise. When the company is allowed to escape any agreed-upon obligation because it is deemed "difficult and impossible", it is amazing what other items will be found to be "difficult and impossible". The contract becomes nothing more than a statement of current plans, subject to change as events may warrant.

Sweet! I'd love to get my car out on a track like that!

Since we're posting videos and all, here's my GTO on the Dyno (click on the picture)

Can you drift that thing? I think I hear a wastegate on that thing...

perfect drift car. Its mid engine with a 50/50 weight distribution. Plenty of power to spin both tires on the skid pad and the traction and control of a racing go cart.

If that MkII had only gotten out of your way. Was this a MR2OC track day? I use to take mine over to the BHM event, but I was slow in that car.

I wanted to put together a Lemons team with the theme of "One Great Airline" utilizing the body of a Chevy Citation X11 and the front clip of a Pontiac Phoenix to dress it up as a "merger." With all the Kum By Yah here no one was interested in showing the World what the two most recalled cars in GM history could achieve.

I'm still eying that Craptation X11. Early 80's GM performance at its worst. Wonder if the wheel bearings would actually survive a 24 hour race?

It would be fun to beat those US Air knuckleheads down in Charlotte.

They changed the geometry of the rear suspension in 93 to make it a whole lot more stable going sideways. One thing I like about hoonery in the MR2 and MX5 is that you are not going fast enough to get into too much trouble.

Super has got me looking for a G8 GT. But I'd have to get rid of two toys to fit one of those in the garage.

That was a corvette ZO-6 and the video wasn't me, I am currently building myself one.

I am a long time mk1 mr2 enthusiast. I own 4 currently: 1 is N/A stock, one is supercharged stock except it has underdrive pullies that push the boost from 8 psi (stock) to 16 psi (about 10 hp/lb of boost) so it is pushing 223 hp. One with a buit 4age race engine: hks cams, header, 450 injectors, flowmaster, supra pump, adjustable coilovers, etc. One under the knife getting the 3sgte treatment with the e153 positraction drivetrain. 750 cc injectors, capped vacuums, Greddy automatic boost controller - a cheap 300 hp toy that will get 30 mpg unless my foot says otherwise.

Also building a 64 impala 2 dr ht with airride.

Ah no lack of hobbies here.

Scambo - that's neat.

Notwithstanding Keenster and Nu's proclamations to the contrary, I fear there is a real possibility of that happening.

Satchip, I can only hope that there is not a real possibility of this happppening. Every time I go through MEM or have to pull inot a bus gate in ATL on a RJ I get so pi--ed off I have to calm myself down before I say something to the guy who just gave me a jumpseat. Being a 25 year guy ,if be bend on scope it will be the end for everone and the senior guys that do it may not be that affected in the next few years but the profession is gone as for advancement, pay, and QOL. If these guys can't see what has already happened then we are in some serious trouble>
