Agreed. There are some awesome ones, but of course there are a few that could go to a 12 mo passenger service class and gain nothing from it.

I think the gate agents are too focused on getting the flight out on time that they:
(a) miss the customer service aspect of their job and (b) miss doing things like clearing people (rev and non-rev) earlier, which then causes problems at the end of boarding. |
OK,
It's been a month since the DOT's proposed ruling on the Slot Swap. Haven't seen anything new so, in this case, is no news good news? |
The final ruling should be out shortly now that the comment period is over.

After months of delay, the Senate this week began debate on a $34 billion FAA reauthorization bill, but a host of amendments requiring new safety measures for regional airlines could prove contentious. Spurred by the families of victims killed in the February 2009 crash of a commuter plane outside Buffalo, N.Y., senators have weighed down the FAA bill with rules that would increase the requirements for pilot training, open training records and authorize surprise safety inspections
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Senate considers increasing taxes on jet fuel: The Senate's Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill sets the general aviation jet fuel tax at 36¢ per gallon, increasing it from the current rate of 21.9¢. It also increases gas taxes for private business jet charters, from 4.4 cents per gallon to 36 cents, in addition to a 14-cent surtax on fuel. The bill would raise $276 million to modernize the air-traffic control system. |

D-0 will take a step back to A-0 and we will speed up jets to get them there on time. We will also wait for passengers and bags on a case by case basis. (Last flight of the day, no ability to accommodate the passengers on a later flight) |

I don't agree with the increase in taxes, but it's 36 cents per gallon... not 36%. 36% tax would be about $1.64 per gallon for 100LL. Just to clarify for you! :)
Man, I am a complete moron... Back to my crayons for afternoon coloring.... |
