It was in the LOA that was just signed. It said something along the lines that the pilots will be booked aisle exit seats at the time the booking is made if those seats are available. It's an improvement, but I still say we should be in first class when we deadhead. United used to have this for their pilots. I think it ****ed the flight attendants off. I say tough. I respect the flight attendants, but our jobs are not equal in responsibility or skill. I've never heard of an aircraft crashing due to a flight attendant being fatigued.

What 80, you don't find the middle seat out to LAX with no meal and then a 40 minute turn to operate the LAX-JFK flight refreshing?:D
That sounds like an awesome day at work to me. What would really make my day would be to stuck inbetween a couple muffins. I really think deadheads before flights should always be required to be first class...especially over 2 hours. |

Had a FA who told the Captain she only needed one more week of training to be a pilot since their New Hire training is five weeks long and ours is six. She pointed at her "FAA Crew license" to reinforce the point. Talk about misguided/misinformed and "what planet have you been living on?".
Had an FA at 9E say to me when I was an FO "So when do you get to start flying the airplane and doing takeoffs and landings like the Captain?" Response after wiping the "you've got to be kidding me" look off my face: "In about 45 minutes when we takeoff." |
You know we have that thread about the QOL at Delta, right?
Do you know what really can screw up your QOL at Delta? Not bidding. Don't Forgot to Bid Friendly reminder. |

Classic, and soon they will vote on a union. I could only imagine how painful those negotiations will be. I thought pilot negotiators leave a lot to be desired, FA negotiators would be like fingernails going down a chalk board. No stone will be unturned, no personal gripe left unsaid.
