The deal is exclusivity. Just like us and our rights to negotiate with Delta Air Lines, Inc.

It will give them a boat load of cash. It will sustain RJET. If they make it to 2015 and take deliver of that jet, it means a lot of money for them.

FWIW, I keep hearing DAL does not like that jet, and favors another.....

Assuming there is a 100 seat jet at Delta - what do you think it will be?

The simple answer is it depends. It depends on a lot. The C-Series according to our guys just does not hit the mark. I like the CS-300 and think it would be a good jet here. The CS-100 does not have the CASM that we want.

Looking at the crystal ball. Embraer is a player, and so are the foreign jets from China and maybe Russia. (kind of)

If DAL can make Boeing and Airbus move on improvements to their class of jets we will not see one. If they cannot meet what we desire, we may see a 195X or the 195. That is just my guess.

Either way, it makes sense to buy something for the interim period up to 2025. Failing to renew the fleet staring soon will lead to capital issues that will force less than desirable options in my opinion.

[quote=tsquare;777085]Since your guess was first... and also the closest... It is on the preface because it is used in calculating your maximum LANDING weight.

Guess I better start looking at the preface more closely.

Thanks!

ALPA hails Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.), Rep. Mike Michaud (D-Maine), and Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (D-Mich.) for introducing H.R.4788, a bill that directs the Department of Transportation to ensure that new revenue-sharing agreements between U.S. and foreign airlines are beneficial to U.S. airline workers as well as to their airlines.

What's the deal with that?!? Someone on this thread had a different take on it. I think we ought to strike a deal to own the tire supply. :D without tires those planes will be sitting on blocks just like that Spider I have in my backyard. Nice paint but if I can't fit in it then I'm selling the tires. Biggest waste of payout money ever.

We still talkin cars?

Not this again - the phantom AE that takes 4-5 months to come out...

That is fine, they are delaying all of the training. To make it permanent, they need to reinstate ppl.

All I say is, "Whatever!" I just fly em.
