Wow. What a selfish post. Has it ever occured to you that some people commute for the mental health of their family? Has it ever occured to you the I SACRAFICE driving to work so my wife can be around her family? So my daughter can grow up around her Grandparents and Cousins, Aunts and Uncles?
I'm all for some accommodations to commuters. I think DAL-S has that. But when we start talking positive space passes, and thus lost revenue, that's too much, imo. Commuting is a choice. I'm glad you have that choice. But to go overboard with accommodations to the extent NWA did, costs those who make the sacrifice to move their family to a pilot base and NOT commute. BTW, calling ME selfish because I don't want to overly subsidize YOUR choice to commute is the ultimate in selfishness. I'm done. |

Many have kids in school, aging relatives, etc when the above happens and chose to suck up the commute. You are still suffering the BK mindset where you think every gain comes out of something somewhere else. Do me a favor and stay away from the negotiators come 2012. If you did a little research you might find out that NWALPA did not give anything up for the poilicy, and it actually saved the Co. money. Someday you might find out the Sun does not orbit ATL |
Question:
I heard DTW 755 and MSP 755 will be converted to DTW 7ER and MSP 7ER categories as soon as DAL-N pilots get bounces on the 767. Is that correct? In that case will the DTW/MSP 755 will get their equipment pay bumped upto the 7ER pay? What if you are flying a 757 domestic trip and you are on the 7ER category. Do you get the 767 (domestic) pay or 7ER pay? |

This is the last one I'll respond to. You choose to live around relatives. Fine. No problem. That is a choice you make, and there's value in that. But why should everyone else have to pay for that choice by spending negotiating capital on an overly generous commuter policy, losing sick leave due to commuter abuse, etc. etc.

Your house is probably a good 20% below value, you probably have kids in school, your wife probably has a job. Gonna uproot them all and chase that new base? What about when that one closes or you get displaced? Gonna chase that one too? If not, you've just made the CHOICE to commute. The fail runs deep with Pineapple... |

Do you get the 767 (domestic) pay or 7ER pay? Their pay will not be bumped up, because they are already making the same as the 7ER (which pays the same as the 757 which is the same as the 767). What I'm saying is there is no 7ER pay level. There is 757/767 pay - and international override if you are flying an international trip. But, the international override pay is the same whether it's on a M88, 737, 767 or 777. A pilot in the 7ER category who flies a domestic trip doesn't get the international override - he/she just gets the regular 757/767 pay. |

I believe you are mistaken on the pay- there is no difference on the pay between domestic 767 and 7ER (remember the 757 and 767 are under the same pay scale), just when you fly an international trip you get override. |
So, how long does it normally take for monthly schedules to show up on Deltanet? I know it's been asked before, but trying to find old information on this thread is harder than trying to find my car keys in my house.

That being said, since January will most likely have some unstacking in the beginning of the month, the bids tend to take longer. There might be some categories out by the 14th or 15th. |
