Sorry, but this DID cost the company money, meaning it DID cost us negotiating capital, meaning I got less of something somewhere, because somebody got pay protected. THAT'S my beef. Just like an overly generous commuting policy, or overly generous sick leave that encourages abuse, or overly generous LTD benefits that went on forever (in the old days)! All of that stuff costs non-commuting honest pilots a lot of money in the long run.
