When I was at Continental Express we had a lot of commuters that lived in MSP the flew out ot CLE and EWR. It was nothing to find a dozen jumpseaters waiting for you at the bottom of the jetway. I learned there is a divide and I can't remember if its the river or what, but there was definately that side of town and my side of town. And one guy was talking about high school hockey so much that I decided to add in that my cousin was a really good player but that he lived down south, he said, oh where, Chicago? I was like, no, Nashville. He laughed at me.

No fear grenades here, just amazement at how ACL and a few others can take a few positive rumors and get y'all excited about what has happened to DAL/NWA since the merger. Open your eyes a bit and don't take everything that is typed here as the truth.

Read a little, staffing reports for 2010, parking 60 DC-9's since the merger was announced, all the 747-200's, bunch of 757's. A new route here and there should not make us all feel super secure about the future. Sorry, to be a bit negative, but 1+1=3 shouldn't mean huge displacement bids like the one coming up. Better than most, but not great.

And keep in mind, the rumors ACL gets to us are done in good faith. Crew resources and planning, marketing, flight ops, etc probably have a dozen irons in the fire at any given time. I think ACL has done a good job ensuring what plan As and Bs dribble out here vs plan Cs and Ds. And from what I see he waits for multiple confirmations and no threat to his sources bit even then plans change fast.
