Actually not. Training took my trip for tomorrow, but training wouldn't release me from my obligation early so I need to go up to MSP this morning just to probably turn around and catch the 9pm-ish flight home (nothing in open time they can use me for).

No biggie, Delta recovery flying may be a pain in the arse, but it's better than the old NWA. I'm probably coming home tonight vs sitting "short call" in a hotel for 4 days.

Not at all if that is what they want to do. That is still very much a possibility. Many of the press reports that have been floated appear to be trial balloons to see how DAL, AMR, and the markets will react. I know that there is a lot of "chatter" at it pertains to wide body flying about 13 time zones away.....

It was on my line about a week ago, and it wasn't a suprise since LCA was next to the Capt's name.

Anyway, gave me a few days to reasurch the obligation. I guess they big thing was they waited till this morning (just a little under 24 hours) to officially notify me. I asked if they could save me the trouble of going up just to come back tonight and the lady put me on hold to check, but came back and said they couldn't. Oh well, like I said, no big deal......better than our old way. The only good NWA did for this type of thing is pay for your hotel room to sit short call in and PS you back and forth.
