Unless the C Series pays the same as a DC-9, then it's an absolute embarrassment to DAL pilots. Disgusting.

Hmmm. Shrinking fNWA fleet (-9s, 747-2s, and 757s) and growing fDL fleet (-90s, 737s, 777s). Wonder if there's a message in there somewhere for the other workgroups to speed up the representation issues.

I was under the impression they (F/A's) have a SLI, and that they will be working jointly by June. Based on that, I don't think this causes any rush to resolve anything.

Anybody seen the code-a-phone from yesterday, about a "BEH SLI" dispute? Is that us? If so, anybody know what its about? (sorry if this has already been adressed)

I was under the impression they couldn't fly together at all or on the other former company's aircraft until the union representation issue was decided. I think they have decided on an integration method though.

Okay, what's the longest we can fly a 738? Just wondering if we could have a HNL base over Guam? I know CAL flies a 764 from HNL to Guam and it's an 8 hour flight so is that feasible?

I think BEH are the three arbitrators, so this is about our SLI.

If this is about the way the SLI was implemented, then my first guess is that someone is upset because they couldn't bid DTW 777, and will argue it's replacement flying. My second guess is someone in ANC wanting 777's because they want to argue they're replacement aircraft.

These are pretty weak arguments, but they're the only guesses I can come up with.

I for one do not want to see us descend into the world of continuous SLI arbitrations and grievances. I think people that push for questionable (and very self-centered) equipment grabs should be ostracized. The fleet is ours, and it should be available to all in seniority order. Therefore, I also would like to see the fences gone before the alloted time.

That's exactly what he stated at the last LCP meeting... wasn't too sure about the GTF thing either.

We'll see if he sticks to his word.

Hey guys,
first post.
About the possible Jal deal did you guys read John Ley's newsletter about the Lax base visit on wednesday?
Phil Lindsey of Network Planning was there and said the following.

"JAL partnership. Very important to DAL for competition reasons and access. Rumors of a Guam base to fly the beach destinations was discussed. The outcome of the JAL partnership prospect will dictate. If no deal then the base is likely. If there is a deal, then JAL may pick up that flying, but Phil stated he really doesn't know for sure until the JAL issue is settled.

Thank you for that info. And welcome!

No, that's not feasible. Besides, the cockpit is so small you'd have guys killing each other on flights that long. 'Course, might be a good way to thin out the herd a little. ;)
