Just to add to the laundry debate.

When I do the 12-14 day Asia tours, I budget my packing down to the last tidywhity (ok I add one pair for just in case:eek:). But, every time I hit NRT I turn in one pair uniform pants, at least 2 uniform shirts, sweat stained polo shirts from the islands, workout stuff and of course undies. The bill is usually around 5500 to 6500 yen (93 yen to the dollar right now, but it's been as low as 87ish). Multiply that times 3. I've never been called by EITHER company for laundry abuse.

Ok, they could if they wanted to.........last time I turn it before I come home I always turn my tie in. Just my little way of "stick'en to the man":D.

PS. Sailing, why do you care?

Alaska Air expected to post 1Q profit - Yahoo! Finance

Pretty cool!

Looks like DAL's "future merger partner" is doing well on their own!!...

Oh wait, I meant: "really, really, really close partner who will be sharing our gate, ramp, and ticket counters with"!:D

I got it to submit, but I think it will be denied. I just looked at the Pilot Reserve Levels for May, and the day I want is already under min coverage.:(

Any ideas on how I could get that day off? I would really like not work that day, but it is my last reserve day.

It sounds like you are SOL unfortunately.:( That being said, always put it in because at any given time during the PCS run the coverage might be there and you might get it.

Capped reserve days is the story of my life.

You can try a personal drop but that won't work either for capped reserve days.

Only other way is Authorized Personal Drop. Those work on capped days but you only get one per year.

Hey Guys! It actually worked!!! They moved my day, and I got the day off I wanted.:)

DL has the Tech Ops contract for HA 767 and A330/A350.

From an airframe point of view, HI would be pretty easy to consolidate since their fleet will consist of 717, 767 and A330/350. Their pilots are going to the Airbus campus in Miami and they are already running test tabletop scenarios with the FAA and DAL Maintenance.

I know. :D

It makes a lot of sense to me. But who am I?

NWA and Continental did the really really close thing for years. Shoot, we even owned some of them for a while, then had right of first refusal etc. This is why I always thought it was NWA and Continental not NWA and Delta......aren't ya glad I'm not managing your portfolio?

Anyway, Anderson said for years mergers were a too big a PITA, codeshares much mo better. Never say never but unless "something" happens, I doubt a merger with AS.

I could be wrong.........and frequently am.

johnso, best to do it early. I always seem to get what I want if I submit prior to the first pcs run.

Heck, the SLI would stink.

It is one way to solve that outsourcing problem. I bet they are making money off all of the lucrative routes we have given them!

Saw over on the regionals board that the MAG v. DAL court case actually started trial today. Hope the lawyers are bringing the "A-Game", it could have some serious impact on DCI contracts that DAL wants to dump but is finding difficult....

Well how else are we going to get that MD-9X fleet size to 60?

acl65pilot 04-20-2010 12:54 PM

I hope it goes to the jury. I do not want a settlement. The settlement would be MAG in DFW. (My guess)

We have a good case, so lets hope we can win this one.
