Maybe the point with ACL's Avatar is the name printed on the side of the moving van ....

In his own words ....

You shouldn't need to work at Delta 30+ years to be senior some day. I will "ONLY" have 23 years at Delta when I hit 65 and will NEVER even make the top half of the seniority list let alone be "SENIOR" some day. So you need to get off the "you're junior, deal with it" horse. :mad:

No...he's right, and you are wrong. You will be senior someday, it just depends on the airplane you'll fly. You may not be senior on the 777, but you will be senior on the airplane you are currently on...right?

Must be..at NWA we didn't MEMRAT until the last contract. The 98 contract would have been voted down if it went to MEMRAT. The MEC turned it down, and we went on strike/lock out.

What we got was better than offered. Cap on RJ-85s, phased out B-scale (no new B-scale and those on it were phased out), and at the time (until UAL) the industry leading cointract.

So yes, be prepared to go on strike, or don't vote it down; No pain, No gain:cool:

I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt but that statements is pretty weak. In general when people speak of senior folks they are talking of the guys on the best paying a/c .Would you call the # 1 B in the DC 9 senior ? I think not..

Yes, and many will be just senior "junior" pilots. I guess the retired pilots who had their pensions terminated by "junior" had to deal with it as well. What comes around go around. I seriously hope you are not on the MEC - if you are you should be recalled or fired. :mad:

Fly, he is not and I am sure as the day is long that it was T-I-C!

Bar;
Interesting analysis.

Kind of funny that "United" Van Lines is the official moving company for us.

I just flew with the #1 F/O on the 320 outa MSP. I was hired in 87, he was hired in 85....so yes being senior seemed to work for him. Being a bottom feeder I'll never be senior, but that is a choice each of us makes.

So to answer your question. Does being #1 DC9B or MD88B make you senior? It does in category. Make your choice and live your choice:)
