We did have a exemption on the 1 year bids where you could bit again if you had not gone to training but not sure if that is still in effect. You can also bid a new category even if you have a freeze.

It is possible that the guys I remember re-bidding may have been a MD or a new cat. That was back in the early 90's when we were getting rid of our DC-9's. The other thing I just remembered is I think the freeze back then was only 6 months or a year. I know one of my classmates was on a different aircraft everytime I ran into him.

Go to PCS, select leave request (for the appropriate month) and then select "Move reserve off days". Then select the link at the bottom for "Add/Update Leave request".

On this screen you get to tell the computer when to stop processing your request. In the body of the form are priorities 1-4 down the left and to the right of each are a bunch of empty blocks. To move the hypothetical X day from the 7th to the 20th would be 7 7 20 20 in the blocks.

Here's the problem though with this hypothetical - you can't move an X day to a spot by itself (even if it was a loner to begin with) you have to append it to another block. There's another problem with the new system. Seems we can create 9 day blocks in PBS (domestic) but we can't create new ones in PCS. You have to expand ones already there.

Last note, if the reserve coverage isn't good enough to move the days, leave the request in, you never know when it'll be good enough!

Good luck

Nerd, what Dragon said ^^^

but here's a pic: (the only thing you have to excuse is I did this in june, above, because my july has 4 moves in the queue and I don't want to mess them up or show them off ;))

You are still in MEM right? They barely used me. Only two legs this month.

SIDE QUESTION:

Where do we go to bid Golden X days for our recurrent training window?

NERD 06-21-2010 07:19 AM

Got it. Thanks. Why must we put the days in twice?

In case you're doing a range of days.

satchip 06-21-2010 07:33 AM

Is 30 in 7 block hours or flight hours or what?

acl65pilot 06-21-2010 08:11 AM

Block for 121.

Domestic 30 in 7

are you on the airbus? They're flying me just about every week on the bus. I just finished my 2nd 4 day this month. Last month I flew a 4 day, 3 day, and a 2 day. Early this year when I was on the DC9 I wasn't flying much though.

acl65pilot 06-21-2010 08:38 AM

I will fly 70 this month of RSV. Could avoided about 15 of those hrs, but most are getting used.
