How do we fix that - they are the worst!!!!!!!!!
I would guess the 5:15/day, no exceptions would fix it. However, they just came up with a new one - 0040 report, turn around and come back the next day at 0900 east coast time and only pays 10 hours so technically it's only a 2 day. Don't know how to fix that one. |
BOSTON, April 27 (Reuters) - A Delta Airlines (DAL.N) flight to Atlanta from Paris was diverted to Maine on Tuesday after a passenger made threats and was subdued by federal air marshals, the Transportation Security Administration said.
Law enforcement official said the male passenger may have made comments about having a backpack bomb. "Out of an abundance of caution, the flight is being diverted to Bangor International Airport. TSA and law enforcement will meet the flight upon arrival," the agency said. A Delta spokeswoman said flight 273, an Airbus 330, had 235 passengers and a crew of eight. The flight, from Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport, was due to land at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport at 5:25 p.m. (2125 GMT). Instead, the plane landed in Bangor, Maine, at about 3:37 p.m. (1937 GMT). The passenger was taken into custody and was due to be questioned by authorities. Delta was coordinating with officials on the ground and planned to continue the flight on to Atlanta on Tuesday. |
VANCOUVER, April 27 (Reuters) - Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) said on Tuesday it is in talks with WestJet Airlines Ltd (WJA.TO) on an alliance but that no deal has been reached.
"Delta has been in conversations with WestJet on a code-sharing agreement that would enable us to connect customers to more destinations in Canada, while allowing WestJet to access Delta's leading global network," the carrier said in an e-mailed response to a question from Reuters. "Nothing has been finalized," a Delta spokesman added. Last week Delta Chief Executive Richard Anderson said during an earnings conference call that an alliance pact had been reached with WestJet, Canada's second biggest airline. But WestJet put out a statement late on Monday saying that no such agreement has been signed although a "commercial relationship could occur in the future". The confusion is the latest twist in WestJet's plans to expand its code-share alliances, which can be revenue-boosting deals that allow carriers to sell tickets to passengers from other airlines. A planned pact with low-cost Dallas-based carrier Southwest Airlines (LUV.N) fell apart earlier this month when Southwest said it couldn't agree to deal changes that WestJet wanted. Before it ended the deal, Southwest said it had learned from media reports that WestJet was in talks with Delta, the world's largest carrier. Philly;
Do some leg work. If you know you are going to DH, go in to Travelnet, list yourself on the flight under the rotation and then take that confirmation number and go to Delta.com and change your seat. Unless it is oversold, I always have good luck. I know that many are going to state that it is the companies job to fix this, but it is my duff that gets to live it. Therefore, I do what works for me. I am proactive with this stuff. You're the best - never knew this - Thanks for the awesome tip. |

You know what - that's shortsighted. There are a lot of us who will never be "senior someday". I will never be senior some day and I expect to be paid well and have good work rules. You shouldn't need to work at Delta 30+ years to be senior some day. I will "ONLY" have 23 years at Delta when I hit 65 and will NEVER even make the top half of the seniority list let alone be "SENIOR" some day. So you need to get off the "you're junior, deal with it" horse. :mad: |
Johnso, I think you know the answer to that.
One is obvious and two is the fact that we are starting to see people growing a pair again. Our memories are short. Remember pre 9-11 where Air Rage was the talk of the day. 9-11 happened and that stuff disappeared. While nine years later and people are starting to forget about what and why we were where we were pre then post 9-11. |
