Yay! Or "boo!", depending on what happens, I suppose.

In September, the airline cut about 50 flights out of the airport, further reducing its service. That included direct flights to London and Frankfurt, Germany. Delta announced a further 12 percent cut in November, to take place in January.

With the January and February cuts, Delta's flights from Cincinnati will fall to 180-190 from the current 215, the spokeswoman said.

Atlanta-based Delta (NYSE: DAL) operates a hub from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

More RJ service going away. Still though, doesn't look good for Cincinnati.

As long as there are as many positions in AE as there are in Surplus it is a yeah. No one will be getting a pink slip of this AE.

Perspective everyone.

Nope. Not at all.

I think at the beginning of this year there were something like 240 flights a day out of CVG, now they're talking about 180.

70% of the traffic there is connecting through traffic, as well. It's also a notoriously expensive airport.

Plus, most of the quotes I could find about CVG after the NWA/DAL merger (DAL/NWA if you prefer) had the talking heads in management promising the press that CVG would remain a hub "through 2009."

2009 ends in 30 days. Just a thought.

Oh, hell yeah.

Personally, I can't believe I wasn't furloughed over a year ago. I'm just going to enjoy it all while it lasts, however long (or short) that may be.

It is a good time to make sure you are getting that back up degree done. I know that as soon as a few things are done, I am in school.

Hey guys

What's the best, most concise (if there is one) source for the new DAL's basing and equipment? Just trying to put a couple of rounds in the chamber prior to the AE. Mucho gracias.
