It is supposed to be a surprize, but for us here on APC I figured I might as well spread the good news. Although we will loose a few very good folks to fly with in NYC, so be it.... DFW refugee we will miss you...:(

Okay, since it's all about me (:D), any more talk of basing the 76er in SEA or has it dropped off the radar? Haven't heard anything about it in quite awhile. I was kinda hoping it might make it in the may/june AE.

Just wait a little longer. Cannot get in to specifics, sorry. :o

a bud who is also in my reserve unit talked to BB (new hire coord) first week of Jan. (2 weeks ago) BB said NO to hiring and "we are NOT hiring, we are trying to keep from furloughing"

Actually,

It's gotten way worse - I'm a 10 year FO and still 500 numbers from reserve 88 CAPT NY.

Right now, not planning on making CAPT at DAL - career FO.

Oh Well.

I hear you. 20 years in the left seat flying heavies in the Air Force internationally. Now, full time FO for DAL until I retire (after furlough). Its ok. I'm not a "career expectations" guy but I certainly thought it would be better than this. Bottom line: we have jobs. That's better than at least 10% of our population. I'll be the best damn FO there is until I retire.

It seems to be on hold, but I expect that to change too. The decision is probably tied to the JAL too. It really is the proverbial fork in the road.

Not saying there is going to be a pilot base there. We are going to see an increase of flying. To quote a public source (gate agents and others out there) we are gaining to a total of 10 to 20 gates, support space, moving a few tenants, maybe a mtc hanger, going to see 16 MD-90's flying city pair out there etc. I bet we would see a FA base before a pilot base.

If you are watching my feet, I am not selling my house in GA. If they do base FA's out of there, it at a min helps our 600+ commuters get to work. That at a min is a good thing.

There is something very, very creepy about your long term ..... 'interest' ?
Although i'm not really sure that "interest" is the correct word.

A person with psychiatric training would have much to say about an intense and consistent need to give the impression of foreknowledge. In fact, they already have.

Carry on please. It is fascinating ;)

In what may I ask, DFW?

Or should I ask to what "interest" you are referring to?
