I filled out the Automatic reimbursement form so it should get done automatically. Do you fax your receipts in and whom do you fax them to. This is being made MUCH more difficult then it should be and needs to be addressed. My regional airline had better health care (and cheaper) and you could actually USE your card with no hassle what so ever

The fax number is on the claim form. PTA, but it is the quickest way to get money back. I do have direct deposit so it is done in a day or two.

Speaking of reimburstments. I played around a little in ecrew and realized that you can manually put in the date on the top right corner (instead of using the drop down dates), just use their format and it will work. I put in training expense for two years and it took it.

What is the purpose of being given a Debit card to access your flex account if you cant use it? Its a huge waste of time and resources for everyone to force us to have to pay out of pocket and have to wait on a reimbursement. At my previous company they gave us the card and it could be used for everything medical related and when the account runs out the card stops working. That was easy and painless, does Delta have to do everything retro?

It's so DANG frustrating!! I had the same exact UHC FSA card at Skywest and it worked at all doctors offices. I come here to Delta and it doesn't work anywhere except retail locations like Walgreens or CVS. It's ridiculous! Plus, UHC is so slow with the claim forms and will sometimes deny the claims.

Agreed. That is why I pay cash, have a separate receipt for all of the FSA qualified stuff and then submit a reimbursement form via fax. I get paid within two days if there is money avail.

I set up the direct deposit as well as the Automatic Reimbursement which should eliminate the need to fax anything in. Personally I think they're just trying to make it as much of a PITA as the can and hope that people are too lazy to figure out how to get reimbursed.

United Healthcare said that DELTA is the one that set it up this way and that most other companies dont. We can and should be able to use the card at the time of service but evidently DELTA is the ones preventing us from doing so. This should be changed as its not only a hassle for us but for UHC. I talked to someone with mydelta about it and they said basically that, "thats just how delta does it and they arent going to change it" God forbid there be a better way

Might be because it is self funded by DAL.

yeah in a way but technically its funded by you and I individually throughout the year. If i set aside X amount than thats what i should be entitled to without having to jump through hoops to get access to it. bottom line is it shouldnt be this much of a PITA as it is.

Super,

I think what ACL is getting at is that our entire health insurance plan is self insured by Delta. So, there really is no need to call UHC because Delta holds all the purse strings. The premiums we pay for insurance goes to Delta (not the airline but their plan) and they pay UHC to administer it for them. All coverage/payment decisions lead to and go thru them (DAL).

Even though it's your individual account that may rollover year over year, I would bet when you push off, the excess goes to the general fund.

So, don't be surprised if it is set up that way on purpose with the thought that a certian percentage of claims will be forgotten or denials not fought. More money for the plan to be distributed elsewhere at a later date. That might be their thought of what a better way is.

Were you on an HRA plan at SkyWest, where employer dollars were the first ones spent?
