Leave Request Move Reserve OFF Day |
Thanks guys. One more question. The day im trying to pick up is a golden day. do i need to move it before making the request? or will the sysyem just drop it when it processes the move?

If you move a golden day and the swap is approved, it becomes a regular X day.

FWIW...don't get wrapped around golden days. It is exceedingly rare for even an X day to get violated.

Given the current scope tensions, trying to vigorously represent the Delta pilots and simultaneously trying to curry favor with regional pilots is a conflict of interest. MOST of the guys at a regional/commuter DO NOT WANT TO GROW or get larger aircraft!!!!!! They have realized that growth in a/c size means less long-term earnings. Haven't talked to anyone who thinks that airframe size growth at a regional is good for them. There is a SMALL minority at many regionals who are "lifers" and they have a different agenda. Unfortunately, and it is unfortunate; that minority has usually taken more prominent roles in their MEC administration. Their "official stance" doesn't always represent the desires/ wants of the majority of the line pilots at an airline. (Does that sound familiar at all?) Back it up a little on the regional guys, they really are just a victims of the vacuum created by the mainline scope blindness. |

Seriously Check. Did you come from a commuter/regional? Have you talked to pilots from that segment of the industry that are NOT in the top 10% of their respective lists?
