Per your status you appear to be going to the 765. I am guessing that was a VD or AE, and therefore your vacation will be dumped. You will rebid once you are converted in your new category.
Thanks, it was a AE. So, does that mean I'm going to school in April? Would they have let me keep that vacation if I wasn't? All the rest of my vacation for later in the year still show. Thanks again! |
Did you have say three weeks and bid in all four vacation windows? You may have rebid one of them by mistake.
When are you slated to convert? |

And guess what, if he went for ALPA President.... Moak would be in it for Moak and wouldn't care about the pilots, our careers, or really anything else but him. My post never said anything like that. That's way out there in left field. I think Moak cares about fellow pilots and our careers. He's a pilot first, but he's also a politician. My point was that if he is a candidate for ALPA President, then he needs votes from people who have a far different agenda and different interests than the Delta pilots. Given the current scope tensions, trying to vigorously represent the Delta pilots and simultaneously trying to curry favor with regional pilots is a conflict of interest. |

When are you slated to convert? Projected to convert in June. I had 4 weeks and bid in all four windows, the April vacation was the last one awarded. I don't mind losing the April vacation if I'm going to school but if not, I would rather take it. |

More than likely you are going to be scheduled for training in April. Look for it to be posted in DBMS by 5 Mar. That's the deadline to post April training. When you bid the AE usually a submenu pops up and asks if you want to keep vacation or not if it conflicts with training on your new aircraft. If you keep it then the company can send someone junior to you to training ahead of you. Sounds like you said I don't need to keep it. Just be aware that when you convert to the new aircraft, you lose all you current vacation bids and will have to rebid them all at once. If you are going to training in April it sounds like you will have either a May or June conversion date and will have to rebid any vacation. I cannot emphasize enough to put your rebids in as early as the system will let you. When you are in the tail end of training, the last thing you want to do is have to remember to rebid!!! Alot of people don't!! Good Luck! Denny |

When Moak represents us, he needs to represent us well. If he doesn't, he needs to be canned. If he succesfully runs for higher office, then someone else needs to replace him that represents us. It's that simple. If you don't think he's representing us well, make the case. Don't try to sway us, or mystify us, with the notion that a political animal shouldn't be allowed to have further aspirations. We all know these guys might run for something else. If that was such a problem, we never could even elect LEC officers. |

Denny I will set up all kinds of reminders to re-bid the vacation, as I wasn't happy with any of them anyway and I don't think I can do any worse a second time around :) |
