It is obviously a big black eye for Delta and people will go next door to something nicer if the prices are the same.

I think you're right about the business travelers but the avg traveler doesnt travel enough to care. They're just looking at ticket prices, you know the type, the ones that shut their brains off as soon as they walk into the airport

With that said we need to improve the reliability, product and overall experience to get those higher ticket prices from the business traveler.

And people shop on the internet. I know that no matter what the price I will not fly on certain carriers.

Reimbursement for Physical

I tried the search function on APC without much success, but want to know if somebody can tell me how or if I need to ask for my Physical cost reimbursement. Is this like per diem at training in that if you don't ask to be paid they won't or is it automatic? I never checked last year and can't go back that far now, but does anyone know what I need to do to get reimbursed?

yes they do and most dont have much brand loyalty, especially if the other guy is $4.99 cheaper (even if i has a 6 hour sit in between flights ). My favorite is when the passenger books their ticket online only to find out that they have a 25 minute connection time for the last flight of the night and bam they miss their connection. Then they get mad at the airline even though they booked it as cheap as possible via orbitz.

edit: disregard - I was auto reimbursed for mine. With that said, we were still under NWA pay in November when i did mine. I was reimbursed in December.

Somebody was asking about December pay.
The final pay statements for December are now up on the DeltaNet.

Does anyone else have two manual checks paid out on the 23rd of December?

One equals $0 dollars after the accountants add and subtract the same amount and the other one doesn't.

Valid point. I do not see anything big wide and new showing up in 2010. That would be real quick. I guess it could happen though.

That said, they would be aircraft that are already produced or in service somewhere else. (See I am being non-committal :D ) In reality no one really knows yet.
