So you'd kill the feed by competing with it, to make sure we're bleeding, and ALK is hurting? Doesn't that run the price of ALK down? And doesn't it make certain that ALK runs to AMR?

It's unfortunate that we're in this relationship with ALK, but it's been a long (and positive) relationship, and it seems to be working. If we want more, we'll have to do the honorable thing, and propose, I'm afraid.

You sure they were awarded it on an AE? If so call Monday.

Well, they're under the Advance Entitlement portion of the posting. I know MDs and VDs are run first, but I would guess those would all be posted under the displacements section of the award. I assume that anything processed and posted under Advance Entitlement is in no way connected to a VD or MD, but I don't really feel like I understand the process thoroughly. In other words, if people were awarded that position with an AE, then they were awarded it after all the displacements were processed. It's confusing enough that I'm starting to confuse myself. I'll call Monday..... :)

Well, if that's the case, I happen to know for sure that you can pull 100% of your annual FSA contribution out in January, even before you've put it in. I heard that at an R&I Seminar. :D

Hmmm... I tried to use my card yesterday for a $3 prescription copay and it was declined.

Heard an interesting NATCO 3rd floor tidbit jumpseating in tonight - Delta is getting ready to glass the -50s. Source is a former 3rd floor denizen, so I have high confidence in his statement. Looks like they might be here for the long haul.

This thread is always so amusing. We simultaneously have a discussion of dental benifets, the JAL deal, and the AE.

So, in continuing that tradition, how many 90's did we have before this latest deal with China Eastern, and how many are we up to now? I though we were already in the high 20's with the last batch we bought, but maybe my math is off.

AE are run first not last. If you have a AE and are going to get a displacement if the AE can be awarded that is what you get not the MD. That is why as a general rule if you are on a category that is going away you want a blank AE and VD page and only should have entries on the MD page.

Is this glass to match the 88?

According to the memo we will be @ 28 MD90's making us the 2nd largest operator behind Saudi Airlines who operates 29. I think DAL will soon be the largest operator of the MD90. ;)
