btw i was told that if you dont set up the automatic repayment and direct deposit you'll be looking at 7-10 days to process the claim and another 7-10 business days to cut a check to get reimbursed So i suggest everyone go set up their automatic and direct deposit info in www.myuhc.com

I was not stating that the facts you were reporting where in error or urban legend. You have stated that revenue was down 45%.... (it was for June 09... not the quarter or year). I was using numbers but together and given during the investor report that talked about the 4 corner briefing. I thought I heard on the last investor conference call during earnings that the company was projecting about a 20% revenue drop in 2009 over 2008. Thanks for the additional numbers. I will re-research my information.
Slo,
I did go to a base meeting. For the year end financials.... 2009 vs 2008 revenue was down 20% fr the year. June was down 23% (not 45%). We went from a 34 Billion dollar company to a 28 Billion dollar company (in revenue). Just wanted to update what the brass is reporting.

HSA's only allow limited purpose FSA's (dental and vision), while HRA's spend the company provided dollars first.
Great info. Might be even better if it was in an R&I update or Hotline instead of APC

ok, someone smart on PBS?

This isn't a class bid vs carman rant.....I screwed myself in both systems.

Warning to all, THC is in the carryout month if you do the big Asia trips (I knew this but forgot, I normally don't do carryout). IE, mine only has 2 days in March but it takes 32:44 into March. My mistake, but here is the real question.

It did give me a trip earlier in the month as planned to fill me up, but without the THC I ended up with 70:39 or just under 5 hours short.

So then it goes to my generic bids where I give it:

avoid check in earlier than 1530
avoid check in later than 1630
avoid redeyes
avoid carryout
award less than 3 limit 1
award less than 5limit 1
etc

I thought it droped the avoids from the bottom up, if necessary? Because it didn't honor the avoid redeyes (good) but then honored the check out time and didn't honor the check in time. Not a big deal, but it stuck me with a hotel that I though going bottom up would have avoided.

In the old carman system I did this in multiple bid groups, so in that respect the new way is easier.....once I really understand it.

Set it to award check in after 15:30
Set it to award check in before 16:30

Just a suggestion, it will work for you.

FWIW, if the resolution passed in MEM it was brought to the MEC meeting where it was assigned to a group/committee. Ask your reps what happened to it. (really what happened: no action, or was it voted down, and why?)
ACL,
Had to make a few calls to get the straight answer. The MEM rep said it was in commitee and the commitee did not fully understand the INTENT of the resolution. They decided to receive the resolution. The MEM rep told other reps that there WAS support from South members of the MEC, but that message was not conveyed in committee. When the resolution came to the floor, its was discussed with the UNDERSTANDING that Moak would talk to the company about this matter, and report back to the MEC. To this date, the MEM rep has heard nothing more. I talked to another rep and he confirmed the telling of events.

There is a small cadre of weak minded individuals who have found that the easiest thing to do is blame everything on Moak. If this MEM rep felt so strongly, then why didn't he run for election last January.

If the MEM rep said this, then it is a classic case of pass the buck leadership. Remember the MEC chairman works for him, not the other way around. So here is a boss passing off any failures to his subordinates. Profiles in courage. What is his leadership motto, "The buck stops with whomever I can blame it on."? Based on the other actions I have seen out of MEM it doesn't surprise me.
Alpha,
Why did Moak not allow this same MEM rep to present to the MEC the Blackstone memorial Scholarship fund info? This fund was a former NWA program.... The MEM rep (being a trustee) decided to open the fund to ALL Delta pilots. Moak would not allow him 15 mins to address the MEC and tell them about the program. After all this is Money to any DELTA PILOTS sons and daughters Potential Free Money!!! I see no down side. Yet something that was former NWA either call in honest, the way we get paid, and even this scohlarship program is deemed not worthy of consideration. Since you do not seem to like the current MEM reps, I hope you vote in the next election for change.
