Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
No. It was the deductible. I was checking my wife into the hospital for birth. The hospital had no idea I even have an HRA account. I called and will eventually get the difference back. My point and super's point is that the plans aren't working as easily as advertised. There are a lot of hoops to jump through to get the plans to work as advertised. I agree with Super that our health plans need a lot of improvement. Delta brags about the premiums going down over the last couple of years, but I am guessing the quality has been dropping with it.
Somewhere there is a document you can print out and give to the Doctor explaining how these plans have no co-pay.

Instead, said MEM rep should work on galvanizing support for his fund amongst the rest of the MEC and then present a resolution. If he can't do this, or if the resolution fails, he should take it like an adult and not go around whining about his subordinates. This probably would take more work than crying about this to anyone who will listen, but maybe they should get off their behinds and put in some work if this is a cause they believe in.
I am not in the MEM base but based on what I have seen I wouldn't elect those guys dog catcher. They are whiners and bad leaders, in my humble opinion.
I can see how these BAD MEM reps need to be voted out (in your humble opinion, of course).

Last year, I had the same situation when my daughter was being admitted for surgery. The hospital wanted me to write a check for $1000 to cover the deductible. I had the lady at the hospital call the number for UHC on the back of the card. I had already explained to her about HRA dollars, but she had never heard of it. Anyways, after the hospital talked to UHC, I never paid a cent. The HRA dollars were put towards the deductible.
The other thing going against me was the fact that I NEVER RECEIVED A HEALTH CARD!!!! I called UHC to be told I had to go on-line and request one. I went to do that, but the website was temporarily down for 3 days. Unfortunately, my appointment was within those 3 days. I finally received a card in the mail a few days ago after requesting one on-line. The whole process is frustrating.

If you search DeltaNet for "Healthcare Provider Letters", click on the first search result and read there, there are two different letters you can print out and take to your Doctor's office or the hospital.
They explain to the Doctor, office manager or billing manager how our plan works, and how they are supposed to submit claims.
Here's a highlight from the letter, "Do not ask the patient for a copay or deductible for preventive care, office visits, urgent care, emergency room visits or other services."

The processes are not working as advertised. I stand by that.
