She is all for it if and when we move back to the ranch on Texas. We are waiting to see what the Terms are on the SLI, and this economy to pick up. As soon as that happens I will be one of em commuters.

She would love for me to only have to be gone for one stint a months. I know it is a great deal!

From what I hear there could be displacements in a few categories. If they go ahead with the ER CVG stuff they will need to displace from other ER areas.

I know, but we need em for the expansion of the routes announced last week. Many of the SAL out and backs will be on 757 ER's. Now they may be able to get away with a domestic bird, there is only one issue. Getting it back to the USA for mtc would require a ferry flight. That is a lot of gas for a regular position flight.

I see 767's taking over the NRT stuff initially, we will see how that goes long term. There has been some talk of 320's as well. That was just talk though.
Look at it this way Fred. You will probably only be off the Saipan Tour for a year as the 757's from NWA will be the first group integrated. Hope for short fences for that.

Depends on what you mean by integrated...... The 744 fleet is going to be the first group on the NWA side to go to the newly developed procedures (whatever they are). This is scheduled to be in conjunction with what they are calling "bid period 5".

Rumor has it there was a plan for displacements....speficially INTO the MD88 ATL B position...but the Union came up with the LOA instead...so as to not look like there was trouble in paradise during negotiations.

From my bro's in NYC on the 73N. -- The A's have had some SIL's lately, but the B's are way short. Can't imagine displacing the B's unless the category is going to shrink even MORE.

Since the announcement of more Alaska code-share on the west coast, does anything think this might help a LAX-SYD flight, or other destinations in Australia? Maybe using the B777-200LR?

I know it's anyones guess but what do you guys think the chances are of a junior nyc m88 guy to get out of nyc after this ae?
By out I mean anywhere to any airplane

The reason I ask is because I dont really understand how a displacement would affect me

that was an old rumor. These supposed displacements are the latest on evidently.

If we bring more -9s back then we will have plenty of flying slots for any DAL displacements. ;)
