Two questions ACL, are you still hearing January was having a DAL displacement bid? AND

If its 360 pilots fat what about the supposed 400 pilots understaffed on the NWA side that we'd be after the contract went through? Is that NWA understaffing still true and if so are we seeing 760 pilots fat or 360 pilots fat for the time being?

By any measure seeing 360 fat in the spring makes me nervous about next fall.

Man I buried this info in the DAL Displacements post last night and no one ran with it.

Never mind. Need to start another thread on Detroit Airport Crew Lot van living for commuters.

DAL has plenty of time to be to required staffing levels. So much time the could furlough for a few years and bring us back. It appears that is not going to happen.
Not sure why Bucking that they are parking those jets, but that is what I was told. My guess is there is not a need for that much gauge for the near term spring months, and they want to show a high load factor. Thus put smaller gauge on certain routes and show a greater load factor. (I guess)
I am sure that this could change, but this is what I was told this week.
They are also talking about not mixing bases until we are one. Lots of DH to start with. Guess it is too much to do at one. So, unless they dump more that 30 or so B positions off the 767B in ATL Buck I am sure that you will stay on it.
Heck I may bid the 73N just to get the type!

It appears that there is more in play here. As the details get fine tuned I will post them.
Furlough btw was meant to mean not to have a job, not just a mainline job. Some MAY flow back, details are getting worked out.

Well ACL, I think you definitely have a captive audience. Please pass any info you may have so no one will hijack this thread for pleasure or grievances. I, for one, have always appreciated your insight and information passed. Keep it up....thanks.

Could it also be that some of the airplanes like the 767s are going through interior upgrades and thus they are taken off line?

acl65pilot 12-13-2008 06:19 AM

I am sure that they will make this excuse to us, but it was described as a temporary pull down of 20 757, and 767ER's total. Not sure what the NWA side will pull down. It may be just 757's.

Do we outright own any of the 757s and 767s? I'm sure that info is somewhere. It'd be like NWA parking 9s that they own because it doesn't cost much to do it.

I wish I could hold 73N ATL.

i wish we had that clause that said if anyone is furloughed from mainline (DAL/NWA) then the 76 seaters become 70 seaters. I know people, on the junior side, that voted against LOA 19 for that reason alone.
