that was an old rumor. These supposed displacements are the latest on evidently.

If we bring more -9s back then we will have plenty of flying slots for any DAL displacements. ;)

If they plan on bringing them back why are they still sending them to storage?

It's really difficult to say right now. I would say it certainly is a possibility. If mngt. takes some ER's out of NY, and they very well could, those airplanes will go more senior at any other base imo.

The scenarios that could play out are endless. This gets deep really fast. Everyone on here is looking at scenarios based upon assumptions and trying to read between the lines of what mngt. has said.

Try not to dwell on what might happen and make sure that you have your displacement preferences updated in the computer.

As someone who has the patch from being an Aeronautical Sacrifice for 5 years, just remember, there are worse things than being displaced :)

Why don't you ask Ed? Plus, the key word in his post is "if".

Oh, okay I see, thx. Sounds like DAL is becoming the next TWA or Pan AM. A truly global carrier. Hopefully with a lot brighter future than the latter. Now, PLEASE HIRE!!! I would love to come to DAL. Sound like a lot good flying to had. Fun Stuff.

Alright, so am I the only guy on here that is a little nervous about being compared to TWA and Pan AM?

Hey ACL.... since you seem to have a conduit into the 4th floor, IF this AW ever comes out, will it also show the NWA side of things.. like the whales being sent to ATL.. the 9s to the shuttle et al? Because, unless I am mistaken, there is a fence of sorts until SOC UNLESS there are insufficient bidders in which case there can be cross pollintaion.

LOL, like I said Pan AM or Twa minus what happened to them in the end.

DO not think that there will be any re-basing on this AE

iaflyer 11-19-2008 07:29 AM

What do you mean by "re-basing"?

acl65pilot 11-19-2008 07:46 AM

Like moving the 744 to ATL. It will be crewed by MSP, and DTW folks. We will not see a SEA ER base, MSP 88 base etc. It is too soon for that. We will be doing a lot of DHing to start with. Look for some 12+ day trips.
