Must have been an ER! I absolutely love it when I get to fly those. Landing the domestic 767s with the hair dryer engines will make a man out of you, haha. It's like a retarded MD-88.

No complicated formula, just a very small amount that goes up a tiny bit each year. Back in the 60's when they came up with this idea, the advance values might have been alot. Nowadays, it really screws up your witholding and makes it impossible to attempt to not get a tax return. On your advance check they take out no taxes and on your clean up check they take out almost 40%. I've thought about changing my witholding allowances every two weeks to try and even stuff out. Here are the tables they use for the advance values.

JAL reportedly to decide in Feb. on U.S. partner SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Japan Airlines Corp. will decide next month whether it wants to partner with AMR Corp.'s (NYSE:AMR) American Airlines or Delta Airlines Inc. (NYSE:DAL) , according to a report published Friday. On Thursday, executives from both U.S. carriers met with incoming JAL Chief Executive Kazuo Inamori, to "provide further details about their tie-up plans," the Nikkei business daily reported. JAL, the Japanese Transport Ministry and the government entity overseeing its turnaround are said to favor Delta over American, according to the report. FWIW Feb is in a few days. :D |

Point is the network guys are really happy to have a mix of so many different airplanes to play with. If you are someone who bids the same route every month and hates to change then you are not going to like the next two or three years. These guys are going to swap metal and routes to where ever they make sense and make money. Crew Resources will be more circumspect in moving bases. BTW, the tall guy you is in charge of CR is going back to the line. He is going to be an ERB in NYC. I asked him why not ATL since he lives there. He said, "someone put out a bid and I can't hold it." :D |

I knew that, just didn't want to post the name. Good guy.
