Hey, I'd do it in a heart beat if they pos space us back and forth. I don't want to move my family there, however. I used to fly through there all the time in the USAF and the island flying would be a blast.

Here is the real way to trim an MD-88/90.

1. Heading hold
2. Autothrottles off/match the EPR's
3. Trim the rudder until the ADI shows straight and level
4. Trim the ailerons until the indices on the yoke line up

Never fails.

OK, if Stephen Hawking is on this thread, then I stand corrected.

I liked how the article on DeltaNet said "because of the change in ownership and business strategy."

Is that the business strategy of directly competing with us that's killing the codeshare and FF program out? I'm happy to see that our management sees Midwest for what it is - a competitor. I wonder if Republic flying is next?

After seeing this i'm pretty sure our legal department is looking into cutting them out of our feed as well. We dont need to be supplementing the competition.

Exactly. Delta is paying Republic for our service, no doubt. But that revenue went on to help fund the purchase of Midwest and Frontier. Now that revenue is propping up the branded flying. I can't imagine a mainline partner allowing this to continue.

Marketing agreement with Midwest ends
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
March 30, 2010

Delta will discontinue its codeshare and frequent flyer program with Midwest on June 7 because of the airline’s change in ownership and business strategy. There will be no noticeable impact on Delta customers since Delta serves every destination served by Midwest.

Upon termination, Delta and Midwest customers will no longer be able to redeem miles or earn credit on each other’s flights or share airport lounges.

“Midwest has been a good partner, and we appreciate their customers’ business with us over the past few years,” Delta said in a statement Tuesday.
