Too funny! Even though my type rating says DC-9, I've never even touched the controls of one. Powering back is scary. I've only seen one DAL jet ever do it considering it is forbidden. We use tugs, my son. HA

I heard while deadheading on the bus that there is a new grievance to prevent South FAs from flying North a/c ala the bus in NY. Apparently South FAs will be flying the Rome and other trips on the 330. Heard this from a South AFA supporter.

Are you sure you're not confusing college degrees for cats?

Will the MD-88 be the DC-9 of the 2040 decade? :)

No the DC-9 will be the DC-9 of 2040 decade and beyond.:p

Since my wife speaks Italian, she was lamenting the fact that only the North FA's would be flying those trips. Who knows?????

I must admit, the cat thing was pretty funny.

Hmmm. I did not know that! Thanks for the info. The thing that gets me is that when I look at the guy (Or gal) next to me in the cockpit, I KNOW what they did to get in that seat....FA's...there is no requirements....for the most part. Couple that with the fact that they can potentially sink an airline due to work stoppages, strikes, etc etc, makes me worried. I worked my a$$ off to get hired by my dream airline which is Delta....I sure as hell dont want an FA bringing my company down.
