How does one become an elite pilot? Doesn`t NW have a senority based system? Do you get to wear a special "Golden Boy "pin also?

Oh my God - was that embarrassing. This guy was hired right around me, and I never felt "elite." On the first day of ground school when the head of ops came in and told us we were chosen out of over 20,000 applicants I remember feeling humbled and unbelievably lucky. I guess some guys took that to mean they were the best of the best.

Oh well ... takes all kinds.
