I'm about the same % I am currently. What's this pull in pull out stuff? is there a dynamic for the nwa retirements?
|
My seniority is relatively intact. My question, for the cockpit lawyers, is that the way I read this the 777, potential 787 and 747 guys are fenced. The rest of us are not. ACL, is that a correct read?

THis is correct buzzpat, ive gone over it now... only those slots are protected/fenced. Most dal guys are at the same or slightly higher relative % than current after some quick spot checking.

What changes will this cause in Delta's future plans?

I'm on my cellphone in LHR and can't read the actual award - can someone say what the fences are and how long they last?
Thanks! |
I'm up .017% from the pre-merger list, can't get much closer than that. I'm glad they put the DC-9 FO's in with us, and at least until we get an SOC, looks like any furloughs will come from the pre-merger group that brought the airplanes. Only fence is for ther 747, 787, and 777. Five years from date of SOC. For those not privy to the info:
Category and class integration. Category 1: Widebody CA Category 2: Widebody FO Category 3: Narrowbody CA Category 4: Narrowbody FO They used DALPA's tool of pull and plug to account for the NWA retirements. 274 guys were pulled and plugged which was way more than DALPA wanted and a little less than NWALPA would have liked. No dynamic approach like NWA guys proposed. Looks like this thing went strongly in favor of the DALPA proposal. |

I ended up with where I felt was "fair," the NWA guys got a little top-heavy acknowledgment due to their heavier attrition (in the short term at least) and the fences were minimal. I HOPE that there actually might not be a lot of gnashing of teeth with this award. Regardless of that, and notwithstanding some of the namecalling (some by me, though not much) our two pilot groups will probably be held up as a model of the right way to approach the right merger. Just weeks after DCC, we have one pilot group, one contract, and one seniority list. AAA/AWA can only dream of that. |

Now if the DAL pilots can just get their frozen DB like the NWA pilots. Soup |
