That way we wouldn't have to get it ALL from ACL. Seems like DALPA has been strangely silent about this. Or are they not wanting to give mgt any "F" ideas? :)

I would assume that they will want to get the number of PERPS figured out before they put out anything. I am sure they are very busy with the company right now.

Those PERP numbers will determine a lot. I would hope that if they suck they would up the ante, but you never know.

That is a saying. In this industry, I would say they are just trying to figure out the bad news.

I am sure the company is going to play up the FLU and the Air France. You know "this furlough requirement is beyond our control". Plus, I do not think the big F is going to happen untill after SOC. Coming soon in December.

ACL? anything?

Which happens every time an early out is offered in that those who might take it start to hear rumors of a definite maybe something better might be coming later soon and so do you wait or go now?

Of course, they might not offer a second one... twisted.

Officially no furloughs, but this time I do not buy it.

I think we will see 100-200 this fall. I know if the company can wiggle their way in to a pre SOC AE they will so they can see where these junior folks will be sitting. Also, if they cannot do that, they can shift flying from NWA to DAL which they are doing to balance them out and furlough in order of the Arbitrated list using the pre-merger lists. In effect it can be done!

I do not expect to hear much from the Company or the union prior to the close of the PERPS. In effect a long month for many.

There are no jobs out there. There is nothing us junior folks can do about it so why worry about it? Sh!t happens. Hopefully we don't furlough, but there are worse things in life than getting furloughed.

Is it just me and the flights that I am on that is overbooked or does anybody else have this same feeling?

Everything is oversold. The problem is we are practically giving the seats away.

I agree. My friends in DFW are doing two and three leg commutes to get to work today.
I bought tickets for my family to get where they needed to go this weekend. Fact is that the tickets were about 180 round trip. That is nutso. Now next weekend they are 500 bucks and the flights are wide open. Go figure!
