I personally recommend that you study the mental math stuff. The job knowledge test is not easy. 42 questions in as many minutes. The gouge on will fly for food is very good. My technique was to approach each question like this:
Read the question at the bottom of the long paragraph of distracting information and get the basic question down. I.E. "what is the descent gradent" Then I just found the info I needed from the distractors and plugged it into the equation that I needed and got the answer. I would memorize the equations for: descent gradent, descent rate, wind corrected heading and various 60:1 rule applications and you should be ok. just my 2 cents good luck slinky |

Medical question for anyone who might know. If you recently quit smoking, is that a disqualifier (sp?) on the medical? I've been off cigs for 2 months now, and wonder if that's going to be an issue?
Also, on the DAL website it says to bring "original" copies of flight records.. So doesn't this mean they want company printouts or just your logbook? I too have some old gouge and found a lot of the answers given were a bit inaccurate, but I have a feeling that the majority of questions on the test are straight forwards and don't require to much mental math.. Or so I hope! Best of luck to all. Quitting smoking should be a good thing. Can you pass a Class 1 FAA? If yes, you should be able to pass Delta's medical. For those worried about the knowledge test, skip the questions heavy on math and then come back to them at the end. You may only have 3 that require thought and many have said that the 60/1 question (you will know which one it is once you see it) is there to waste your time. |

For those coming tomorrow and in the future, was advised that you bring all the information (Social Sec Cards, Tax statements, Birth Cert, Etc) for each of your dependents. Just FYI.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in this thread, but anybody have any word on competitive qualifications? Does a regional guy who just meets the minimums have a shot at getting in? Sounds like it is pretty exciting there at Delta, I would sure like to get in on it.
|
The breakdown I heard from Rhinodriver was: 5 --737 ATL, 6 -- 737 NYC, 7 -- MD-88 ATL, 7 MD-88 NYC.
|
I take it all the NYC are going junior?
