Can you please confirm this through your friend if this happens or not.

This is true. Per the contract, seniority is based on the last 4 of your social, TOP to BOTTOM. 9999 is senior to 0000! The 16 July class had to rebid as a result of this. No big deal. I swapped aircraft, but I'm still going to NYC, albeit on the 88. I'm thrilled!!! I'm still going to work for DELTA!!! Don't fret...there are advanced entitlements every 3-4 months. You will be able to bid something else soon afterwards. WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE THESE OPTIONS!!! There are some downfalls to going big early. Has to do with standing reserve duty. Had some wine tonight, so I don't remember the specifics, but something like if you were reserve on the ER, the potiential exist to stand reserve for 24, be off for 24, back on again for 24, etc. I think you will stand "short call," 2 hours notice, reserve for 8 days and "long call," 12 hours notice for 8 days per month. If you don't live in your DOMICILE, life could become fairly difficult for some time.

Big picture from you guys pursuing DAL......how long from application to interview, then if successful, from offer to class date?

Raging White,

I put my app in at the end of March. I didn't have any internal help, so I attended an AIR Inc Job Fair mid May. I got a call to interview 2 days after my return. Interviewed on 12 June and started class on 16 July. Hope this helps. The job fair is great if you don't have someone pulling for you from the inside! :D

I've got a friend that was hired in may. he asked me about this. did they say what they were going to do about people already hired that had their seniority numbers improperly assigned?

I think the seniority numbers will be swapped around, but not 100% certain what will happen as far as aircraft, location, etc.

I hope your interview in soon. I've heard that the test questions may be changing in the next month or two.

For the inteview testing:

Do they give you a calculator? Or is it all "mental math"?

So the guys in HR finally found the WFFF gouge, huh? Not to worry, I'm sure the new questions will be back on there in no time.

They know the gouges are out there... the fundamentals are the same from the gouges. They just change the questions to see if you can adapt and didn't just memorize. Ditto with the HR questions.

Bummer...so now we actually have to learn that stuff?

I received the email today about an interview. My app has been out since April and heard nothing. I completed my ATP/B-737 type rating last week and updated my app with the changes last week. Like I said, I received the email today. I don't know if the ATPhad anything to do with it or not. (Delta only requires the written)

PM me if you want to know any further details.

Cheers.

PS. I haven't had a job interview since I interviewed to work at a Boy Scout camp when I was 14 years old. I better brush up!
