Wait, I know what this pic means... Delta will bend but not break.... Or we will be pushed til we break... I'm scared.

Some good stuff in there

1) I am sure we will get more 777's

2) Maybe. A fleet of 25 is the ideal fleet for marketing to optimize profit on the 744

3) Might be linked to the Freedom settlement. I know they were looking at adding them out there. The rest of it was tied to JAL. I see increased DFW flying in a big way, but I think they have opted out of a mainline base for the near future.

4) :D Flows and recalls first. Aug to early 2011. Oil price will determine when.

5) Maybe maybe not, some call it the MD-90.

I could post more, but that is good enough for now.

Come on ACL, if you have something you need to at least give some hints. I hope some of this comes true. It seems in line with what could happen. It makes sense that we would get something in the form of lift from boeing, whether it's a sweet lease or something free who knows. Any info on the AE numbers, base openings, etc...?

No, it means if we ask for more than 150% raise then Delta will break. lol

My theory?
Ron Allen had a very small Johnson and spent his whole life compensating.

The only good thing that happened in bankruptcy was that we were able to dump most of his lifetime perks.

Thanks Check. Just wondering.

1. Goal of DAL is in the neighborhood of 50 777s by 2016

2. 10 more 747-4s coming in next year and a half due to 787 delay..there were other aircraft in this payment for delay but i don't remember the exact numbers

3. One of our DCI carriers, out of the 13 million outstanding DCI carriers, will be opening a DFW base to feed increase in flying out of there. AF may bring back the international flight out of there too and (drumroll)....Delta to ASIA out of DFW? maybe done via DFW to LAX or SEA though.

4. Hiring 400 to start in the fall.

5. Delta has made their order for the 100 seater.

If even half of that is true I'd be stoked ;)

I'm sure we could handle more.

Why stop at 5 tibits? 10 is a nice round number...keep it coming!

The smaller flying is for CAL leaving Skyteam. Larger gauge would have been to feed international flights. That said, you may see a few international flights out of Texas. There are a few by other Skyteam airlines now. Those may increase as the flying picks up.

I still expect you will see DFW-LGA and other key cities on a MD-90 or similar aircraft going forward. The smaller flying will help feed those flights.

AE should be out in less than four weeks. Some shifting will be going on. I suspect we will see MSP-90 increase, SEA ER and a new 330 base. What they do with the 765/330 remains to be seen. Will they spit the bases with the 330 as they did with the 765 or will they opt to keep a large base in one city. I am guessing they will try a split first. Either way that one should be coming as the 330 time is truly shifting to ATL and JFK. I would also suspect that we may see the 744 base move as a lot of its time is moving. That is just a guess though.

Why would they put a MD-90 to LGA when most flights from DFW to our second biggest hub are outsourced regional jets? I don't think we are very serious about DFW as a focus city yet alone a hub.

Wave’s 3 cents worth Opinion: Communist Air has proudly shown what they are made of. They have deliberately, conscientiously, and boldly let their selfish goals be known. Temporarily hiring Delta furloughees would have cost them nothing. The good will it would have created would have been a feather in their cap. Instead, it is a feather they can stick where the sun doesn’t shine. Do I sound bitter? I hope so. I wasn’t a furloughee, but unlike CA guys, I do feel their pain. Later,Waves
