ID90/ZED ticketing question
How do you buy a ID90/ZED on an interline carrier here at Delta?
I went to the ticket counter at MSP. They told me to come back after I set a reservation over 1-800-MYDELTA. However, I can't find any such option on 1-800-MYDELTA. Is there a way to do that online in travelnet? (Under the old NWA system, you could set up the confirmation number over the phone or on-line and just pay and pick it up at any counter). I would imagine you can walk up to any counter and buy it. :confused: |

Call the number there, then go to a Delta ticket counter at the airport to pick up and pay for the ticket. It works great! I've sent my parents on several ZED fares before. |

They punch in your info, ask where you want to go, tell you the fare, take the payment and print out the tickets. They print out the tickets and say, "next customer". Then, you call Air India (or whatever airline you're going on) at the appropiate number and list yourself with them. Then - when you show up at the Air India ticket counter, you present the Zed Fare tickets and tell them about your listing. If you go into TravelNet, there is a whole section on Interline travel, with handy charts for each airline we have an agreement with. It explains all the stuff, and how to list yourself with each carrier. (for example, Air France is a website, Air India is a phone number and extension). |
IAflyers scoop is how it's always worked for me buying ZED's from former delta- south agents.

Freightguy, I had the same problem trying to buy them in Memphis. Ended up wasting an hour getting a runaround from the MEM ticket counter people and eventually just gave up. Tried later at a pre-merger Delta ticket counter in Columbia SC and everything went smoothly exactly as IAflyer said it should.
