But with SOC you save money, thus the rush. imho.

I know that's what management was saying, but I've seen no data to prove that thesis. We had SOC at the end of last year - and we still lost a lot of money in the first quarter of 2010.

Either way, 2010 was a year of change where our profitability comes from being one airline and not two. But thats just how I see it.

Well, the first quarter of 2010 didn't go well with our profits coming from one airline. Here's hoping for the rest of 2010.

Thats where my Coex buddy took me my first time in the city. Quite an introduction. Bar in Elisabeth, Newark Penn, Penn St, Empire St. Building, Central Park, Times Square, the Village?, and topped off at Hogs and Heffers and a cab back to Newark Penn at 3am. Scheduling called at 7. I kid you not-luckily I drink cokes. I got dressed, went to the airport but called and said "you know, I don't go on call til 10, so I don't think its right you call me at 7." They agreed and sent me back and I slept for 3 days.

Just noticed Carl left, why? You missed the after 12 pic show?

Why??? I had to go to work! I know that's a p*** poor excuse, but...

From what another guy on here stated, the merger had to do with keeping within a certain percentage of changes or risk having to pull everyone in for an indoc and sim sessions. Clearly we were out numbered and we were always going to go the least union route, that was at any cost.

Seeing the world in black and white is nothing to respect or envy. Seeing the world accurately - is.

I agree. I have a Droid and I really like the phone. I don't drop calls and I can tether my laptop. In fact, I tether a lot. It is a great feature.

The iPhone may be a great success for Apple; however, I feel they are making the same mistakes they did with their desktops in the 80s 90s. They are very proprietary and have even shut out software writers who didn't see it Apple's way. Android is open source, can use flash, and in a few years has taken up 25% of the phone market. Couple that together with Google's dominance in the ad wars, I'm afraid to say that Apply might have again jeopardized a good future.

I was hoping that my Droid phone would get a browser that would support Icrew/Ecrew. Everything else works except when trying to look at your schedule. With the Android 2.2 software getting flash, I suspect that issue will be fixed.

Walmart is selling the original Droid for $20 now with contract. DroidX is supposed to debut mid-July for $200. I am waiting until its released to see if its worth the extra money.

1. 60 Minutes Special - Vitamin C...the silent killer

Thanks for the lift (again) shouldn't you be sleeping?

Here's the latest MD90 count:

3 Hello air (ex SASA)
9 China Eastern
Letter of Intent signed on 8 Blue 1 (ex SAS) birds

The first ex Hello bird should be hitting the line next week...

Cheers
George

Hey George, I think I read a memo that said they're putting PTVs on the -90's. Do you know if that's still the plan?

Carl, I believe the integration team like the functionality of your software, but it could not report to SAP. NWA did not run SAP, and to go back to a non-sap company is just plain stupid.

Who says? SAP is not the upper tier of enterprise software. I can't think of a time when it ever was.

You deal with the programs that report to SAP even though they may have less functionality.

That's what you do if your team is narrow minded and prideful. If you want the best, you would have used the fNWA software that was backward compatable.

One day, Delta will have to come kicking and screaming into a realm of IT that we knew at fNWA. When they do, it will cost a ton of money. NWA brought it over for free. Spin all you want, but that was just stupid.

It was not a N v S issue.

You know good and well the influence that any fNWA person had during the transition. That was not even a good effort ACL.
