"Interesting" trip construction for August, at least for DTW7ER. The good news is we're picking up more Europe flying, but the trips are like nothing I've ever seen. Example...work a three leg domestic day, end up in PHL, 23 hour layover into a CDG over and back, then end it up with another three leg domestic day. 5 days worth about 30. Anyone ever seen anything like that before? Same thing going on with PIT to CDG and MEM to AMS. Not complaining about getting more europe, of course. Are any of the other bases seeing the same kind of stuff? I haven't taken the time to check.

CVG has some of those too.

My bet is that in increases productivity of all of us.

There were just a couple of the PIT-CDG's in DTW's last month but no domestic add-ons. I think the MEM-AMS has been a 330 in the past, but I'm really just guessing on that.

But hey... if it means some of the Europe stuff gets pushed down to my seniority level, then I'm all for it:)

Well according to my reps the flow is still in place.

The CPS CEO made comments in their Q and A that the flow would remain in place for 60 days for everyone to discuss it. No more no less. I am sure that we are right in the fact that there is something going on, or about to go on, but officially there has been no comment or statement of intention from any Executive at Delta Air Lines, Inc. (Make sense?)

What is your take on what's going to happen to the Compass flow? How about the Mesaba one?

I've tried to follow it all, but I had a trip that left on the 1st to Berlin (no internet) so I'm not sure where all the discussion ended up.

fwiw, the Delta Flight Safety Flyer (sent via email at least) is a great read. Including this week. But it still rubs me wrong that RTO stuff is in the QRH and not VOL 1 (the manual I do have in my possession, all of the time). Like in the plane, in the crew room, in the hotel, in my room, at the library, at the movies, grocery store, date with my wife, parties, etc. I call it the rock, people try to knock it out of hands for fun, but you can't. Its the rock.

The bacherlotte... yikes... watching the pilot vs his pick. I need to hide under a table.

Let's begin with the Q&A. Our ceo said it was at the companies (tsa) discretion whether the flow would remain and it appeared the flow was over. Obviously, this does not sit well with our pilots who built this airline and made it what it is today. The performance numbers that day were aweful, chief pilot even told us to be careful and use the "IM SAFE" chechlist. The next day the words flow will end were removed from the updated Q & A went on to say that they would take 60 days to review, discuss and negotiate with the interested parties. Not sure if they are looking to negotiate? If that's the case i am not sure tsa has any idea what kind of pilots are at compass. Not to many pilots here that will stand for hulus tactics....

A meeting is scheduled late this week or early next week. More info to follow. Still shocked that we at compass were sold to tsa. What next?

Dude, time to turn in your Man Card. Even my wife said please change the channel as we were surfing. Mad Men Marathon is on AMC. Now that's a show I can respect.

Good luck to all of you at Compass and I sincerely hope the flow is honored. I was reading the LOA in question and it references:

"In the event of a sale of Feeder Carrier Affiliate such that it is no longer an affiliate of NWA, the flow up rights of Feeder Carrier Affiliate new hire pilots (Sections D and H below) can be terminated by the Feeder Carrier without impacting the Company’s upper cap in Section 1.B.7.c."

However it does not define New Hire Pilots in D and H. I cannot envision how the original pre-merger, pre-sale Compass pilots could be defined as "new hires" for purposes of terminating the flow up?

First, my wife and I are laughing and cringing.

Second, if I turn it in I can't post certain pictures any more. So do I have to turn it in? Especially if I'm sitting here making schematics for a screened in porch? Which won't happen til C2012. :D

Last, I'll admit to turning in the man card some what when it comes to the tv, but I'm storing up for my september, october football OD, and she lets me.

fwiw, it really is train wreck on tv. Channel ABC? And they also have KY jelly kissable something or other commercial. The commercial might be the craziest thing I've ever seen. Prime time tv.

Something Delta related, what happens next with OH? Or was this on another thread?

Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) said Thursday that it has solicited offers for its Comair regional business as part of a strategic review that led to the sale of its two other units.

The largest U.S. carrier announced the sale of its Mesaba and Compass regional operations for $82.5 million.

A Delta spokeswoman said Comair was included in the review and, while it drew interest from unnamed "interested parties," no offers were made.

Many of us are under the impression that it can only be terminated to post-sale new hires. That would make sense, since Delta might not have control over the hiring process following a sale. Those individuals would also know about the flow down with no flow up.

I doubt either side will want to risk arbitration. ALPA could win or lose everything and so could the company.
