Kind of like most fDAL guys say the sli was "fair", usually with a little snicker. ;)

Any intel on next AE?

Thx

For the one millionth time, do we need to rehash the SLI?

I'll help:

Everyone got screwed, everyone would have retired 1500-4500 numbers senior to where they would have been with their previous company, all current fNW employees would have been 747-400 captains by now (specially retrofitted DC-9 looking cockpits would have to be installed in the 744 for newK) and all current fDL employees would have been 777 captains by now.

Also, the economy would not have crashed, we would have all gotten 400% pay raises due to: LM going out to lunch with RA if you are fDL and via Nu's grievances if you are fNW.

We all know how that separate contract is effecting unity at US Air. The NW pilots were a little shocked when the DAL pilots inked their own separate deal with the company after the announcement of the merger. I think most of us knew we would never get a good contract without unity, and we wouldn't have unity with separate contracts. Are you saying that the fNWA pilots were more interested in a group hug and unity than for personal gain. I don't agree with that idea. We all voted on it yes or no based on an individual basis. I think that there was a TA which went to vote and it passed MEMRAT. I don't think many thought about what their vote would do for group unity in the long run but instead voted their personal opinion with the information at hand.

Rumor I keep hearing is that if newK bids off the -9, the company will immediately park the remaining -9's and maybe even the 88's because he is the nucleus of the fleet!

Purportedly a "Big" one.
Sometime in Sept.

There are some rumors out there, but the only one Flying Operations has codified is that the SLC 767 will become ER.

So what are some of the other rumors? Do tell....

There was nothing to bring over to the joint contract.
The joint contract was negotiated by both NW and Delta pilots. The Delta pilots did not do it alone. The NW pilots voted to ratify that contract with a much higher percentage of yes votes then the Delta pilots.

This is a bullsh!t statement. It's true, but it doesn't tell the whole story. The Delta pilots passed LOA 19 by an extremely high margin. It was a stab in the back and forced the NWA pilots to vote for the PWA. The PWA virtually mirrored LOA 19. It's amazing how many less Delta pilots voted for the PWA compared to LOA 19. If the Delta or NWA pilots would have voted down the PWA, we would have a US Airways' situation here.
