5days off so he'll get about 35hours above 70. Not bad. If a senior line holder would have been off for those 9 days they would have never given out that trip, instead they would have chopped it up

Steenland is currently on the Board at AIG... yes, the AIG that received a government bailout and gave bonuses to management.

Heard a nasty rumor last night about SkyWest employees (For reasons beyond me) being pretty sure they will get "Spring up" seniority?
From what I was told it means they would get S3 priority on all our flights and bump actual DL employees on DL flights. ***.
I called complete BS and started laughing and saying this would NEVER HAPPEN. Hope I'm right and hope others havent heard this.

They dream A LOT over there in Skywest land. They were 99.9% certain they would get Mesaba. When they didn't many stated 'Well cleary Jerry didn't want them'.

Question, when you get a 9-day GS on RES and of those 9, 4 were previous RES days, then the only part that is over 70 hours (assume you flew 0 all month) is the 5 days that you were on an x day, right? I don't do a lot of GSing although 4 or 5 have gone out on the 88 today. But I'm out of town and up to my elbows in playdoh and lincoln logs and as you would assume, loving it.

We had a ramper get struck by lightning last night in ATL. We were just a few gates away when he got hit. A few of us were in the jetway and saw zaps of electricity arcing around us.....scary stuff. He was alive when he was taken away in the ambulance. Hope he is OK.

We should keep this in mind when they close the ramp for lightning, some passengers in the back needed to be reminded its a life and death issue as so much is with aviation and passengers and crews need to be reminded.

Yes, GS flying done on a reserve pilot's X Days is straight pay no credit, plus payback days. In other words, only hours flown on X Days go on top of guarantee.

Let's hope not. RA is the best CEO NWA ever had and the best DAL will have in a long time.
Maybe AFA started that rumor to get the F/A's to vote for them, the fNWA F/A's are terrified of Steenland and there are plenty who will vote AFA out because they're tired of giving them money for nothing. RA was always nicer to labor and with the threat of him leaving maybe a few current AFA members will switch their vote to yes.
I don't see anything changing until the union votes are finished and the stock price goes higher.
My .02 cents

Yes....it sounds like an AFA rumor. If not...time to bring the big guns out ourselves!
