Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I spoke with scheduling, and they said it was international...also said that it was recently changed from domestic. Not sure of their definition of recent.

Was their comments based on pay or what category was doing the flying? It is being done mostly by the ER categories not the 767 domestic guys, so they may have misunderstood the question.

The industry's game plan played out perfectly. Promise to cooperate this time while the heat is on from Colgan 3407, then stall behind the scenes, use the OBM as a billy club, let the issue die a quiet death....until the next time people die with fatigued pilots at the controls. Rinse and repeat.

Hey the White House told the FAA to sit on it. The pressure worked so far. I liked the duty limits based upon report body time. It is what we have here, and it seems to work really well.

Time will tell though. Frankly they do not want to do anything this polarizing until after the midterms in Nov. Wait and see what the Lame Duck session comes out with.

Per FAR part 121 flights from the lower 48 to Alaska are dispatched under flag rules and not domestic. It has been this way for many years. This means that flight crews are bound by flag rules for duty and rest requirements. Maybe that's where the confusion comes from.

So how is it a NYC RESV pilot has to cover a CVG line when there is a CVG RESV pilot available to cover it.
