Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Geeee T disagrees with me, what a shocker.
Well, how bout this.....we all had numerous "over water" trips to HNL, GUM, SPN, AMS and had been TOEd to CDG on the ER. As you said, not real tough.
Once again, I was glad the company cared enough to make sure things went smooth, but I disagree about a whale guy being a waste of $$. At least they had done Pacific crossings if that was really what they were concerned about.

Carl, Have you called your reps to see if there is more to this story? I have not discussed it with my reps for the better part of a month. I talked to them about it, then it hit the DALPA forum. From their general demeanor it appeared to me that they were aware of the "rumors" and were doing their due diligence on this issue to make sure everything was on the up and up.
Apparently the issue died on the ALPA forum, so there must have been some resolution or clarification to in regard to this issue.
I have read the EFOB and I do understand where the discrepancies are in regard to the letter and the efob. I also recall with decent clarity a weekly update from our SVP that addressed this issue without addressing this issue directly. It addressed the ride alongs and provided further clarification beyond that of the EFOB. (It stipulated that "experienced" first officers that were not AQFO's would be used as well) It provided further clarification to the policy and the practice. If my recollection is correct, the issue died a quick death on the ALPA forum after that.
Is there something beyond that that needs to be addressed? If so, a Status Rep is the correct location to seek that resolution as they were aware of it the first time around. This is not mean to be a put down. It is merely me recounting the issue as I recall it. Like I have said, if this is incorrect, lets find where the problem is.

But where's the fun in that?
Carl
ACL's advice is very good. This is a public forum. I addition I would remind everyone who is a Delta employee about Delta's policy on posting on the internet if it regards the company. I have heard through the grapevine that some posts have attracted attention. I hope there is no follow up because I have read many posts that are clearly in violation. If you want to slam Delta online I would do it on the Dalpa forum that is not public. Delta has used forum posts before to go after pilots. Be careful and think about what you say.

I think your preconceived notions may be a bit off. Why wouldn't southies be against that type of behavior?
Look at these super premium dots... just itching for some connecting!
