BTW, anyone notice the latest LOSA's program discussed in the flight ops update where we are going to use Retired Pilots to provide observations?!?!? Didn't know this was allowed and certainly hope the MEC didn't give the nod to this. Called the DTW Reps and they knew nothing about it.
Captains I flew with my probation year at NWA were asked to fill out a "Probation Pilot Evaluation" form. Some refused to do it, saying they weren't getting paid for the extra work. Fine. Whatever. That whole attitude struck me as rather childish and immature back then. Still does. Do you refuse to log the landings because you're not getting paid for it?

The retired pilot DGS-types are already required to fly the occassional jumpseat so that they "stay in the loop". Delta is not breaking any new ground here.

If you are providing training you are instructing, instructors get paid an over ride. If you can't see this is above and beyond normal ops there's no helping you. BTW, you eat whether you are at home or on the road, so why should they pay us per diem?

There is no lack of material around here is there? And with the HD directv out after a massive TSRA last night and with the baby and wife sleeping, I'm free to play without getting in trouble.

I just can't wait for an excuse to use this pic! :

It might be just a good image of the morning after a late night Clamp fest.

As to that TSRA, wowsers. hit around 1130 and there was 0 time between the lightning and the thunder. Must be like getting in a bar fight with Newk.

Indeed. There is evidence of spy activity in some of our past.

A double agent perhaps?
