Most of the this has been addressed already, but I thought I'd throw this out... I think the 747 is showing up in the advertising just because it is such a distinctive and recognizable jet, and a darn photogenic one at that. Take your average passenger and ask him to ID any of the other jets and I'd bet that most of them wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 76/77/330, at least not a first glance. As good as they are, they just don't have a lot of visual appeal. Don't even get me started on the 380!

The 744 is heavily used in the cargo world. Ask UPS, Atlas, Word, Polar, Air France, Cathay Pacific, and others.

I thought the M88 in MSP was going to ramp up over time? Was hoping that would be the other line holder position for junior pilots in lieu of NYC. I say this bid is a total wildcard for the bottom 300 or so. I fear the seniority and displacements in SLC will leave a dust cloud until the next batch of retirements.

Taking on corrupt politicians in the airline industry? Hmm, seems like a perfect lead in for:

Well it looks to me like MSP M88 should ramp up & NYC will wind down....and who knows how SLC 767 converting to 7ER will change things. So I have no freaking clue what to do.
